What to do

The Otways is a picturesque area of Victoria with many beaches and National Parks close by as well as wineries and cute cafe spots. We've put together some options below for you, but this list is far from exhaustive! It is also just a 30-minute drive from the coastal town of Lorne which is full of cafes, restaurants and gift shops.

The Store, Deans Marsh

Just 15 minutes from King Parrot and 20 minutes from the coastal town of Lorne, this cute cafe has a great selection of food and good coffee. The menu has some great vegan and gluten free options as well!

Pennyroyal Raspberry Farm and Cafe

"During the summer berry season, we have a full range of raspberries, cultivated blackberries and many other varieties available for “pick-your-own”.

The Cafe offers seasonally inspired lunches and snacks which you can complement with quality coffee and a range of drinks."

Blake's Estate

"Blake’s Estate is a family owned vineyard located at Deans Marsh, nestled in the foothills of the Otway Ranges approximately 70 km southwest of Geelong in western Victoria. The winery is situated only 12 km as the crow flies from the coastal township of Lorne on the Great Ocean Road"

Otway Fly Treetop Adventures

About an hour south-west of King Parrot Cottages, you will find the Otway Fly Treetop Adventures. This has nature adventures for everyone, including zipline tours, treetop walks and more.
