Where to stay

If you'd like to make a weekend (or long weekend) out of our wedding, there are several places you can stay close to the venue. There is also a campsite within the King Parrot grounds that we will be offering for free on a first in, best dressed basis. We, along with our immediate family and wedding parties, will be staying at the venue from Friday the 6th to Monday the 9th. If you choose to camp on-site, you can join us in using the venue facilities (pool, sauna, games room etc.) and any communal meals! See below for further information for on-site camping and other accommodation options.

On-site camping (free)

There are two designated areas that include approximately three very generous tent sites and three permanent cabin-tents. The cabin-tents are solid roofed structures with canvas walls, doors and windows each housing one double bed mattress and two sets of bunk beds. Please note that linen will not be supplied.

There are two gravity fed flushable toilets and two hot water showers in the main campground area.

There is no power at all in the campground, including in the amenity block. The camp kitchen is a sheltered area with communal BBQ and sink to wash dishes. Water is for washing dishes only, it is not suitable for drinking.

The campground is only accessible by 4WDs, but there is ample parking at the cottages, and we or onsite staff can drive your gear down in our 4WDs.

We, and our immediate family and wedding parties, will be staying in cottages on site from Friday - Monday. If you choose to stay at the on-site campground, you can use the cottage facilities to get ready on the day of the wedding. You can also join us for communal meals and use all the facilities King Parrot has to offer!

More information on the campground can be found here.

Note that numbers are limited to 20 people and  will be allocated on a first in, best dressed basis. So please RSPV as soon as you can to ensure you get a spot.
